En Trio

Four superb trio sonatas for two flutes and continuo comprise this program by French Baroque composers Michel de la Barre, Jacques Hotteterre, Francois Couperin and Jean-Marie Leclair. The earlier sonatas by la Barre and Hotteterre sonata include basse de viole and theorbe as the continuo instruments. Harpsichord and cello are the continuo instruments for the Couperin La Francoise and the Leclair Deuxième Recreation de Musique. The performers are John Solum and Richard Wyton, transverse flutes; Arthur Fiacco, Baroque cello; Lisa Terry, basse de viole; Dan Swenberg, theorbe; and Mark Kroll, harpsichord. MS 1087
